Named after the first African-American woman to earn her pilot’s license comes a new nightgown for Women.  Following the footsteps of her trailblazing namesake, this gown introduces a new silhouette into our hand smocked range: the dress features a regiment of neat pin tucks on the front bodice for an easy slimline silhouette through the body complimented by rich hand smocked detailing on the cuff and the back. 

Made from acres of cool white cotton, the graceful shape is enhanced by a wealth of soft details: our signature gathered collar hand stitched with a cross stitch finish, generous blouson sleeves,  hand smocked, frill cuffs and a dainty front button placket with pairs of diminutive buttons. And because daredevils always have one more surprise up their sleeve, the back of this dress features a stunning central smocked motif, adding gentle swing to the silhouette as you make your twirls - as Queen of the loop-the-loops, we think Bessie would approve!
